Siege Weapons
Battering Ram
-was given this name because it was used to actually batter, or beat, down castle gateways and doors
Ballista

Mangonel
-a bowl shaped bucket that shot missiles at enemies
Trebuchet
-made-up of a lever and sling
-it was able to launch an object weighing up to 200 lbs
-average distance of 300 yards
The Siege Towers
-were designed to protect attackers and their leaders while they attacked the castle walls
-it was usually rectangular and had 4 wheels
~All soldiers held weapons according to their army status or how they were ranked
-The Lords were supposed to provide weapons for all soldiers
-Weapons ranged in price but were all very expensive
~Siege weapons were made to order and were massive & deadly
